SOSORT is the acronym of the Society On Scoliosis Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Treatment. SOSORT is a non-profit organization with two general goals:
To foster the best conservative management of scoliosis. How? By early detection, prevention, care, education and information about scoliosis and other spinal deformities.
To encourage multidisciplinary team work. How? By promoting effective synergetic collaboration among scientists, healthcare professionals, patients, and their families to obtain the best results in the conservative treatment of spinal deformity.
What do the members of SOSORT want?
To offer an open forum for the exchange of knowledge and ideas in the field of conservative management of all spinal deformities, and more specifically, scoliosis. To stimulate research and clinical studies in order to verify the main idea that prevention and conservative management of scoliosis are effective, efficient, and valuable tools for the management of scoliosis. To facilitate consensus among clinicians in the areas of early detection, observation, prevention, and treatment of scoliosis and other spinal deformities. To disseminate information among the scientific community and the general population showing that conservative management of scoliosis is effective, and that there are accepted guidelines to avoid over- and under-treatment with this condition. To provide specific education and training among healthcare professionals in order to build a community of specialists that are able to provide care to patients
Annual Meeting. The Annual Meeting of the society shall combine Scientific, Consensus and Education sessions.
Courses, Seminars, Workshops to inform and to teach professionals
